Common questions
Straight answers.
Do I need a referral from a doctor?
No. You can register directly and we take it from there. If your doctor referred you, that works too, and they stay informed.
What will it cost?
For maternity it is one agreed price for the whole episode, not an open-ended bill. Your price is confirmed after the week-12 assessment and varies by site. Cash and medical-aid pathways are available, and Discovery members can use the global fee where it applies. We confirm your cover before you commit.
Where are you?
Johannesburg (consulting at Modderfontein and Woodmead, delivery at Busamed Modderfontein, 011 458 2497) and Pretoria (consulting at Health Connect, 358 Francis Baard Street, delivery at Louis Pasteur, 012 320 0167). Rustenburg is in setup.
What happens after I register?
The team at your nearest site contacts you to book your first visit. Bring your ID and, if you have one, your medical-aid card.
Who will look after me?
A team, not a solo doctor. A midwife leads your care when your pregnancy is low risk, and an obstetrician steps in when it is needed, on written criteria. A care coordinator stays with you through the whole journey.
