About
A clinician-led maternity model, built on real data.
Network One Health is a health services integrator. We organise care around a defined maternity episode delivered by a governed team, not a solo doctor.
A health services integrator. An accountable clinical entity and an accountable operating entity, with published decision rights and escalation paths. Johannesburg and Pretoria.
Where the model comes from
Proven before it was replicated.
The maternity pathway has run at our Johannesburg site since 2022. We built the clinical model first, measured it, and only then separated it from the ownership model so it could be deployed elsewhere. That separation is what we call NOMA.
We hold ourselves to an accountable clinical entity and an accountable operating entity, with published decision rights and escalation paths. The care behaves the same way wherever you meet it, because the model is written down and does not depend on any one person.
How care is governed
The same spine at every site.
Every Network One site runs the same governance spine, no exceptions. Risk is stratified explicitly for every patient and drives the intensity of her care. Outcomes are measured against a single shared data dictionary, on a fixed reporting cadence. The protocols are non-negotiable, even where the clinical teams delivering them are local.
01
NOH Governance Council
The accountable clinical authority across the network. It holds clinical policy for every site.
02
Joint Audit and Quality Committee
Audits clinical and operational quality across all sites every month.
03
Weekly operational review
Each site runs its own weekly review of how care is running on the ground.
04
Mortality and morbidity review
When something goes wrong it goes through structured review and root-cause analysis, with the lessons written down.
The multidisciplinary team
A team, not a hero.
Care at Network One is delivered by a multidisciplinary team of midwives, medical officers, obstetricians, anaesthetists, sonographers, counsellors, care coordinators and administrative staff, all working to one record and one plan. It is midwife-led and medically governed, so each professional works at the top of their scope and the specialist's time goes where it changes outcomes.
The solo-doctor model
- One clinician on call for every event
- Care depends on one person being available
- Admin and clinical load fall on the same shoulders
- Cover gaps whenever that doctor is away
The governed team
- Midwives, medical officers, obstetricians, anaesthetists and more
- Each professional works at the top of their scope
- One record, one plan, an MDT review every episode
- No patient's safety depends on one doctor being everywhere
The team is also the building block of value-based care. One agreed fee for a defined episode is only possible when outcomes are predictable, pathways are standardised and costs are auditable. That is exactly what a governed team produces. For the patient it means one price. For funders and hospital partners it means outcomes per rand they can verify.

How we are structured
How Network One Health is structured.
Two entities, doing different jobs, working as one. Neither competes with the other.
Network One Health
The ecosystem and integrator. It runs operations, coordination, provider networks, technology, care pathways, partnerships and execution: the machinery that gets a governed programme delivered every day.
Dr H P Manyonga & Associates Inc.
The clinical governance entity, BHF practice number 0977357. It holds clinical leadership, protocols, quality assurance, professional accountability and thought leadership, and is the accountable healthcare provider named in every compliance footer.
Neither runs the other. Network One Health runs the ecosystem; Dr H P Manyonga & Associates Inc. holds clinical accountability for it. That split is what lets the model be delivered the same way at more than one site, without either job falling to the wrong entity.
Who is accountable
A named entity, and named people.
